WHAT IS A CAPPUCCINO?

A cappuccino is an Italian coffee drink that is usually prepared with a double-shot of espresso, hot milk, and steamed milk foam. Variations of the drink involve the use of cream instead of milk, and flavoring with cinnamon or chocolate powder.

The way cappuccino's are typically made today is with a double shot of espresso. The second most important factor in preparing a cappuccino is the texture and temperature of the milk. When a barista steams the milk for a cappuccino, micro-foam is created by introducing very tiny air bubbles into the milk, giving the milk a velvety texture.

Which Compatible Blend Is The Best For Making A Cappuccino?

We typically recommend our darker, more intensely roasted blends for Cappuccinos or any drinks with milk. The more robust flavors retain their unique qualities despite the addition of milk and sugar.

  • The Organic Honduras Pura Forte is our most popular blend with an intensity of 9. You can trace the origin of this classic drink back to the sustainable Fairtrade Certified coffee farms in Honduras, which makes it the perfect base to prepare your next cappuccino at home. It is our favorite for cappuccinos.

The Late Nite Lemur is our strongest and darkest roast espresso, with an intensity of 12.

The Decaf Bogota Pura Dolce is a mild yet bold espresso, with an intensity of 5. It’s the perfect choice if you prefer decaf since it works well in milk-based drinks.

The Lungo Latino Mezzo has an intensity level of 7 and provides a subtle, fruity aroma. If you want a blonder roast, this blend isn't as dark but still holds up with milk well.

We also suggest that you experiment with your machine and favorite capsules to determine which blends and proportions suit your tastes the best!
