Dreamy Coffee Co: The Talk of the Hamptons
The Dreamy Coffee Co. got its start in Sag Harbor, NY, where it garnered a dedicated following at the Sylvester & Co. Modern General® since the inception of their Dreamy Coffee roast (famous for its perfect hint of chocolate flavor) in 1989.
Founded by Lynda Sylvester while developing a coffee portfolio for her ground breaking Modern General® store, our Dreamy Coffee roast and early commitment to the cold brew method, soon made our coffee bar the talk of the Hamptons.
Their Main Street store is now closed but they remain dedicated to producing superior coffee and are a 100% women-owned and managed small business. As always, they believe in the idea and practice of dreaming daily, even if just for a moment, over an afternoon coffee…
Organic Beans Only
Run by truly enthusiastic coffee lovers, the Dream Coffee Co. believes in using only organic beans from farms that support local communities and treat farmers and workers fairly.
They rely on expert brokers to source certified organically grown beans. They arrange importing directly to the roaster who works with them to sample coffees and curate signature roasts and blends.
They only work with premier roasting partners with generational experience and world-class facilities. Their certifications and high standards allow the Dreamy Coffee Co. to offer a delicious variety of certified organic, fair trade, and allergen-free beans.
Their Cold Brew
The Dreamy Coffee Co. has been brewing artisanal cold brew by hand since the 90’s and still produce it in small batches using only their organic coffee and filtered water in their brewing facility.
Their cold brew is made fresh and delivered direct to their retailers and customers. As it is never processed or pasteurized for “big box” shelf life, its irresistible and robust taste always remains intact. As they've grown, they've remained committed to this method and it continues to set them apart from the crowd.
